Acid Bath was born in the fertile underground scene of Louisiana's extreme metal, cutting through the sludge and establishing itself with what was quite possibly one of the heaviest albums of the '90s, "When the Kite Strings Pop." Lyrically, the band took the avenue of surreal horror, with a line-up that lifted a great deal from the now-lifted Southeastern influence of Southern Gothic visuals.
